Today, our Grade 1 friends got to play with something super cool… literally!
ICE CUBES!
We had fun exploring the three states of matter: SOLID, LIQUID, and GAS!
First, we started with a solid an ice cube!
It was cold, hard, and slippery.
Then… something amazing happened!
As the ice melted, it turned into liquid water!
We also talked about gas and how water can change into water vapor when it gets warm.
Through touching, observing, and asking questions, our Grade 1 friends discovered that matter can change from one state to another!
Who knew science could be this cool?!

ひんやり！これは何かな？
今日はGrade 1のお友だちが、ちょっと変わったものを使って楽しく遊びました！
それは……氷！
「固体・液体・気体」の3つの状態について、楽しく学びました。
まずは、固体の氷からスタート！
冷たくて、かたくて、つるつるしていました。
そして、すごいことが起こりました！
氷が溶けると、液体の水に変わりました。
さらに、水が温かくなると、水蒸気（気体）に変わることもお話しました。
触ったり、観察したり、いろいろなことを考えたりしながら、Grade 1のお友だちは、物質が別の状態に変わることを楽しく学びました。
